Small community cemetery in Westfield Township, Bureau County, IL, near the western reaches of the state. We actually found this one by accident. Dates to the 1850's. Well kept and peaceful place, but neither of us felt at ease here for some reason.

Outstanding historic cemetery just outside the small town of Dover, IL. Beautifully maintained and brimming with history, this relatively small but elegant place was a highlight for us on the return leg from our Cleveland trip summer 2011. Fascinating, compelling graveyard, which we were fortunate to catch in the gentle light of a summer's late afternoon. Dates to the 1840's.
