Oldest extant cemetery in the town of Canon City, CO, Greenwood (aka Woodpecker) Cemetery is a stark, scratchy, somewhat difficult place. Oldest known burial dates to 1865, and one section of the cemetery was reserved for gravesites of Colorado Penitentiary inmates, many of whom received markers bearing only their inmate numbers.
