Georgetown

AKA Alvarado Cemetery, just off I70/US6 east of Georgetown. This place has been owned and managed by the Masons since its founding in the 1870's. A few older graves were moved from Georgetown's original cemetery somewhat closer to town. Huge and slightly unsettling cemetery, both historic and modern, tt is a difficult walk-through, but scenic and extremely evocative.

Silver Plume

One of the most elegant, beguiling and evocative cemeteries on Colorado's Front Range, Silver Plume is a classic example of a high country mining-town cemetery; many Italian and Irish names, ornate ironwork, beautiful stonework and touching memorials. One of our favorite places.
